The Pamellen Suffolk Stud owned by Pam Hinkley and Suellen Boucher of Clackline has won the prestigious Narrogin Agricultural College Perpetual Trophy at the 2009 Perth Royal Show.
The trophy awarded to the winner of the Scan Class was made by College student Jesse Charles as part of his wood work studies at the College. Jesse selected a piece of local hardwood and crafted the base and back of the trophy before adding a porcelain sculpture of a Suffolk sheep in a rural scene. Jesse, along with College studmaster Veronica Nilsson,  attended the Royal Show presentation dinner and presented the handsome trophy to the Pamellen stud and then in a well constructed speech thanked the Australian Suffolk Association for entrusting him to make the trophy and the Royal Agricultural Society of W.A  for inviting him to present it on the night.
